The Museum of Modern Art or commonly abbreviated as MoMA is one of the most famous and influential modern art museums in the world. This museum, located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, United States, has an extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art. Starting from architectural and design works, paintings, sculptures, photography, screenprints, illustrations, films, and electronic media.

At first, the creation of the Museum of Modern Art was the idea of Abby Aldrich Rockefeller and his two friends, Lillie P. Bliss and Mrs. Cornelius J. Sullivan in 1928. They felt they needed to challenge the conservative policies of traditional museums and to establish an institution devoted to modern art. In 1929 assisted with A. Conger Goodyear, Paul Sachs, Frank Crowninshield, and Josephine Boardman Crane founded the Museum of Modern Art. Alfred H. For 10 years after the establishment of the museum, it got a positive response from the public and during those 10 years it has moved 3 times to a bigger place. Expansion during the 1950s and 1960s was planned by architect Philip Johnson. In 1984, there was a major renovation designed by Cesar Pelli.
