Press Ganey Executive Leadership Conference

I recently spoke at the Press Ganey Executive Leadership Conference about Delivering on the Promise of Patient- and Family-Center Care to an audience of nearly 300 health care executives. I was honored to be asked, given the esteemed list of attendees.

It was a great opportunity to relay the importance of creating a healing environment for our patients and families and share examples of quality and safety initiatives we’re working on in our hospital. For kids to feel better, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. My philosophy as CEO is that if you put children at the center of care and listen to the families, physicians and other clinicians, then the finances will follow. I’ve seen time and time again that when we do the right things for kids and their families, the business benefits follow.
