Republic Day Rehearsals

Recently I saw some republic day rehearsals pics on Instagram and wanted to go there but had lot of thoughts like- is to open to all, how to reach there etc. I Googled but didn’t get anything helpful, so we finally decided to go and try our luck.

There was barricading on the roads going toward Rajpath. A policeman told us to take Rafi Marg to reach there. Vehicles were not allowed so we parked on Red cross road and walked through Rafi road towards Rajpath and finally reached Raisina Hill.

On reaching Raisina hill we felt accomplished as finally we got to see many troops practicing for R Day. It was such a nice environment — national guards all dressed up on chilly Saturday morning marching together with a sense of anger in their thump and pride sparkling in their eyes.
