According to Delta Dental’s 13th annual Tooth Fairy survey, cash payouts have soared during the past year to an all-time high average of $4.66, good for a 75-cent increase from the previous year.

If your child did not receive this amount, do not panic and call your lawyer..

Its been a widely well kept secret amongst dental professionals, that the actual payments by Tooth-fairy Inc are highly variable, and can fluctuate by up to 50%. Here’s why.

Like trading in an old car, the amount that is paid back depends on the condition. The below is the discounting method used, obtained from a whistle blower directly within Tooth-fairy Inc by Kuzo.

No Discount

A child shall receive 100% of the market value if the tooth is in pristine condition

25% Off

If there are any stains on the teeth, 25% is deducted from the market rate.

50% Off

If there is any signs of decay, 50% is deducted from the market rate.

This guide was developed to prevent significant payouts from Tooth-fairy Inc. But the secret is out, and it’s very clear that now more than ever is it so important to brush and floss properly.

Did your child recently lose a tooth? How much did they get paid?
