New to crypto trading? Don’t fret, KyberSwap is the right place to begin!

KyberSwap.com is the fastest and easiest way to buy and sell tokens in a decentralized manner. Token exchange happens fully on-chain, which means KyberSwap never holds your funds, and trades are always transparent on the blockchain. You can trade with peace of mind as you’re always in control.

Don’t worry if you don’t understand words like decentralized, on-chain etc. These point to the security and transparency of the Ethereum blockchain.

To own your first crypto, you need to first create your own wallet and address to store your crypto. KyberSwap is based on the Ethereum blockchain, so you need to create a new Ethereum wallet.

1. Create Your New Ethereum Wallet

For mobile devices, you can download our KyberSwap iOS (live soon) or Android mobile app. Click ‘Create Wallet’ and create your new wallet in a few steps!

Please note that ‘Create Wallet’ feature is only available on the mobile app.

Your Ethereum wallet will have a public address that looks like e.g.

Check your wallet address balance anytime on the Ethereum blockchain explorer Etherscan.io

Import existing wallet

If you already have a wallet elsewhere, for instance a Metamask digital wallet on Desktop, you can click ‘Import Wallet’ and import that wallet to KyberSwap using your JSON file, Private Key, or Backup Seed Phrase. With your new wallet and address, you can now use KyberSwap mobile to send, receive, and store Ethereum tokens!

2. Track your Favourite Tokens

After creating your wallet, you will see your wallet balance screen. You can select (by clicking the star sign on the far right) and track specific tokens in your very own ‘Favourite’ watchlist. With one easy glance, you can look at all the tokens you’re considering buying. if the price is great, swap for it immediately!

3. Swap ETH for KNC or other ERC20 tokens!

Once you have sent ETH to your wallet, you can use KyberSwap to easily trade more than 70 other tokens including stablecoins DAI, USDC, TUSD, USDT, digital gold DGX, as well as MKR, LINK, KNC, and WBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin)!

Simple Swaps

On KyberSwap, you can make fast, simple, secure token swaps in a few clicks. Kyber never holds your funds, you’re always in control.

Trading Limits: There are now no trading limits! Liquidity is subject to Reserve capacity.

Transfer Tokens

Easily send ETH or tokens to your friends or other wallet addresses! Click the menu icon on the top right of the app and select ‘Transfer token’.

Non-custodial Limit Orders

KyberSwap allows you to set non-custodial limit orders. You don’t have to monitor volatile crypto markets 24x7 as you can place orders to buy/sell tokens at your desired price — no deposits and withdrawals to and from an exchange are required, as Kyber doesn’t hold your funds! Funds will be in your wallet immediately after the limit order is fulfilled.

4. Set Price Alerts

You can set Price Alerts to get notified whenever the token price hits your target alert level, then swap tokens immediately! It is one of our most popular features and it is also available for FREE.

5. Kyber Promo Code

For some Kyber marketing campaigns, you might win some PT (Promo Tokens) that have to be redeemed using a Kyber Promo Code. You can easily unlock your code on the KyberSwap mobile app!

PT is a special ERC20 utility token for special marketing purposes. Depending on the marketing campaign, PT can be swapped to ETH or 70+ other tokens, and subsequently transfer them to their own personal Ethereum wallet address. PT tokens are to be used only on KyberSwap, and are not meant for use on other platforms or exchanges.

6. Additional Important Features

On the mobile app, you can also see token Price Charts, receive convenient Notifications about price and other important updates, and Sign In to your profile (for additional benefits such as Price Alerts and Limit Orders)!

7. Buy Ether with Fiat (not available on mobile app)

Your new wallet is empty, so it’s time to buy some Ether! Ether, or commonly known as ETH, is the native digital currency of Ethereum. ETH is required for all kinds of activity on the blockchain network, as a transaction fee in ETH (gas) is paid to the network when you perform any action.

On the mobile app, you can click the ‘BUY ETH’ button on the Balance screen to visit the KyberSwap.com website. On the KyberSwap.com website menu, click ‘BUY ETH’ again and a simple pop-up will appear.

With our Torus collaboration, you can use either MoonPay or Wyre directly on the site to easily purchase ETH with fiat currency (Visa/Mastercard credit or debit cards, or apple pay). This is a very simple process and you can enjoy multiple fiat to crypto on-ramp options. For more options such as Simplex and Ramp Network, you may head to app.tor.us.

Alternatively, there are also in-person or peer-2-peer options such as LocalEthereum where you can find offers from other people.
