This chart depicts the amount of searches for a few popular music streaming services. The graph allows you to look at the data for each month every year from 2004 to now. When you look at the data you can see that music streaming platforms only really started to take off at the beginning of 2011. Spotify is clearly the most popular search, followed by Apple Music and Amazon Music. These two platforms have much lower searches.

Your mind prefers the proportions of one graph over the other based on what we know. When looking at an excel file for instance, we have a positive response to higher numbers regardless of their percentage. This pie chart helps us see statistics way easier by seeing how much more noticeable a difference is with for example this pie chart.

This graph compares the season statistics between for NFL quarterbacks Josh Rosen and Drew Brees. Using the interactive tools you can see the amount of touchdowns, interceptions, sacks, Comp %, and their Quarterback Rating (QBR.) Drew Brees was rated the best in the 2018 season and Josh Rosen was rated the worst. This data reflects those conclusions.

This chart shows periods of recession in the United States. The graph shows net job gains between 1990 and 2018. The US economy went through recession periods in July 1990 — March 1991; March 2001 — November 2001; and December 2007 — July 2009.
