Cosmos

Introducing Forge: The ICS Launchpad

Informal is developing “Forge,” a user-facing frontend for Interchain Security (ICS) to enhance the experience for ATOM delegators, validators, and chain developers. Forge will streamline discovering new consumer chains, staking rewards, validator delegation, and community engagement. The platform will also provide a comprehensive resource for developers navigating the Cosmos chain launch phases and simplify validator set assembly. At launch, Forge will focus on the delegator experience, offering features like chain listing, spam filtering, and interactive badges for additional chain engagement. Future updates will expand self-serve capabilities for new projects and refine the validator experience with improved communication tools.

Introducing Lava Public Mainnet

Lava Network has launched its Public Mainnet, introducing a modular and decentralized access layer for blockchains, enhancing reliability and speed for dapps and blockchain interactions. Lava uses Cosmos SDK and delegated proof of stake, allowing RPC providers to register and earn incentives based on performance. The network’s off-chain protocol ensures peer-to-peer service continuity even if the Lava chain halts. The LAVA token, with a capped supply and no inflation, supports the network. Lava aims to decentralize and democratize access to blockchain services, prioritizing community involvement and sustainability over VC interests.

Exploring the Decentralized Future of Cloud Computing with Akash Network

Akash Network is a decentralized cloud computing platform that challenges the dominance of traditional cloud providers by connecting server owners with users needing computational resources. Leveraging the Akash Layer 1 network and the Interchain Stack, Akash uses a Delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism to facilitate seamless transactions. Founded by Overclock Labs in 2018, Akash aims to democratize access to cloud computing while promoting decentralization and innovation. The platform supports AI growth by providing access to specialized hardware and addressing supply chain issues. Akash’s open-source ethos and use of the Cosmos SDK enhance reliability and scalability, making it a strong contender in the decentralized infrastructure space.
