The Cosmos Hub, launched in 2019, has led the way in energy-efficient Proof of Stake and blockchain interoperability through its network of sovereign chains connected by the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC). Today, over 110 chains are seamlessly connected, facilitating billions of dollars in value exchange monthly. Notable milestones include Composable Finance’s IBC implementation for Polkadot and Kusama in 2023 and Picasso Network’s IBC transfers on Solana in 2024. The foundational technology, now known as the Interchain Stack, includes the Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, IBC, and CosmWasm. Cardano Weekly Development Update
