Cardano’s Dynamic P2P Design

The development of Cardano’s Dynamic peer-to-peer (P2P) networking, which aims to enhance performance, security, and scalability. The Dynamic P2P implementation dynamically refines the network topology to reduce diffusion time. It replaces manual peer configuration and allows nodes to maintain a specific number of active connections. The design principles include modularity, extensibility, scalability, security, and performance.

Marlowe’s Security

The latest Marlowe blog post discusses the importance of smart contract auditing, various smart contract-based attacks, the Tweag audit findings, and the security-enhancing features of Marlowe.

Project Catalyst Fund10

Project Catalyst Fund10 is bringing with it the much-awaited ideation and collaboration phases. If you have a proposal you’re eager to collaborate on with the Project Catalyst community, head to the 👉 Project Catalyst Ideascale website to submit your proposal before July 13.

If you don’t have a proposal but still want to be involved, you can give feedback on proposals, and register to vote on them. Voting registration and the community review registration has opened last Thursday, June 29th. If you plan on voting during Fund10 you will need to re-register to vote in a supported wallet before the voting snapshot takes place, August 18th.

Cosmos

Polkadot Ecosystem meets Interchain

The interchain is an ecosystem of sovereign blockchains connected by a common interoperability standard. The Polkadot integration via IBC marks a step forward in realizing the interchain vision.

In a revolutionary step towards unifying liquidity, users, and builders, the beta launch of the first trustless connection between DotSama and Cosmos is being celebrated. Centauri, a non-custodial framework, enables IBC transfers between Cosmos chains and DotSama parachains, ensuring secure cross-chain token transfers. This milestone unlocks the free flow of liquidity between previously fragmented ecosystems and expands the utility of the native token PICA.

Kava

Kava 14 upgrade

This upgrade will allow Kava to roll out the new ‘internal bridge’ feature, with the initial supported asset of ATOM.

Tether’s integration on Kava uses an ‘internal bridge,’ a single entity built directly into the blockchain (with a very small security surface) to convert IBC to ERC-20 tokens.

The ‘internal bridge’ is a Cosmos SDK module that has tight access controls and restrictions on what it can and can’t be coded to do. This makes the conversion process super secure and maintains a 1:1 relationship between locked SDK coins and the minted ERC-20 tokens.

Kava 14 Mainnet Upgrade is now LIVE for voting on KAVA on-chain 👉 proposal #146.

🗳️ Vote end on July 7th, 23:52 UTC

If this proposal passed, Kava 14 upgrade will occur at block height #5,597,000 on July 12th, ~15:00 UTC.

Tgrade

Tgrade First Anniversary

Tgrade, a blockchain built for business, celebrated its first anniversary with a growing number of active validators and transactions. It pioneered the Proof of Engagement consensus mechanism and successfully transitioned from centralized decision-making to a more community-led approach. Despite the decline in token price due to market conditions, Tgrade has seen interest from businesses and projects aiming to bring real-world assets to blockchain.

Quicksilver Protocol

Babylon integrate with Quicksilver

Babylon, a project focused on enhancing security protocols for the decentralized world, has integrated with Quicksilver, a liquid staking protocol in the Cosmos ecosystem. This integration aims to address the issue of long unbonding periods in proof-of-stake chains by leveraging Babylon’s fast stake unbonding mechanism, which reduces the unbonding period from weeks to a few hours. The collaboration aims to enhance security, scalability, and user experience in the liquid staking landscape while preserving user governance rights.

Aura Network

Aura Network partnership with Celer Network

Aura Network has announced a strategic partnership with Celer Network, a leading provider of blockchain bridging solutions. This partnership aims to increase liquidity flow to the Aura chain and bridge NFTs for enhanced functionality within the ecosystem.

Neutron

Neutron Governance Forum

Neutron Governance Forum is live and invites community collaboration. The first proposal for discussion is the integration of Timewave’s ‘Rebalancer’ on Neutron, potentially increasing ATOM liquidity and fostering protocol-to-protocol coordination.

Timewave, a team with strong ties to the Cosmos ecosystem, has proposed to build the Interchain Allocator’s Rebalancer on Neutron. They believe Neutron’s technical platform is well-suited for this project and that it can attract ATOM liquidity. The Rebalancer, one component of the Allocator, aims to maintain desired portfolio compositions through regular auctions. Timewave also highlights the potential value the Rebalancer can bring to Neutron in terms of increased ATOM liquidity, MEV opportunities, narrative boost, attracting new capital, and demonstrating Neutron’s capabilities.

They seek a partnership with Neutron and propose receiving 0.3% of NTRN supply upfront and 0.7% unlocking linearly over 36 months.

Let’s read this 👉 forum for Neutron first proposal and share your feedback.
