Over at Kysen Technologies, we’ve recently launched the Harvest Wallet, what we envision to be the gateway to Open Finance on Terra. In this issue, we will exploring the future possibilities of Open Finance on Terra.
What does Harvest offer today?
We shipped Harvest with a strong focus on DeFi use cases around Terra stablecoins. Today, Harvest is integrated with Trinito, which offers 6% annualized returns on KRT deposits.
This Korean Won stablecoin in Terra — KRT — boasts one of the highest annualized among stablecoins today, accessible through Harvest
Apart from Earning, Harvest also has a native swap integration that allows for easy swaps between the different Terra Stablecoins priced according to the Korean Won (KRT), Singapore Dollar (SDT), US Dollar (UST) and Mongolian Tughri (MNT).
What can be done in the future possibly?
Looking forward, we see Harvest becoming the leading gateway to many DeFi products to launch on Terra.
One such example of potential products is leveraging staking derivatives to offer users a principal protected staking option, where users can stake Terra with service providers that swap user’s deposits to Luna to stake to the network and earn a delegation commission.
We think this product can build an interesting new line of business for validators, where they can offer volatility protection for the staking token to court delegations, and give our community a new staking option with lower risk and volatility. We are looking to showcase this new product through Harvest.
We look to create an education platform for users to learn about the various products on Harvest, exploring reward based mechanisms to further education on Open Finance and Cryptocurrencies.
We think that this space has a large learning curve and we aim to close it with our education section and better position our community to leverage opportunities that exist today.
Open Finance on Harvest does not have to be solely focused on CryptoCurrencies, a potential product could be synthetic assets that would give users price exposure to traditional assets, such as equities (TSLA, NFLX, S&P500) or commodities (Gold, Silver)
We think that the space is ripe for an intersection between traditional Finance and Open Finance and we would love to be the gateway to this on Harvest.
