Songbird, the Canary Network’s ($SGB) Proof-of-Stake Delegation Guide

Songbird, the Canary Network for Flare

How to wrap SGB and delegate WSGB on Bifrost Wallet

Bifrost Wallet supports wrapping, unwrapping and delegating Songbird.

Let’s start!

For technical reasons Songbird (SGB) cannot be delegated directly, rather you need to first wrap your SGB to the utility token Wrapped Songbird (WSGB). You can wrap and unwrap between SGB and WSGB at any time.

  1. Click on the Songbird asset row in your asset overview. You will find three-dots button at the rightmost. This will open up a context menu with a few different options. Tap the Delegate option.

2. You’ll see a notice No wrapped Songbird and asking to Wrap some Songbird to delegate. Tap the WRAP SONGBIRD.

IMPORTANT: Do not wrap all of your Songbird (SGB), you need to save some SGB to pay for network fees.

3. Enter the amount of SGB that you’d like to wrap, make sure to leave a few SGB and click Continue.

4. Now you’ll see the amount of WSGB that you hold.

5. Delegate your WSGB tokens by tap the ADD DELEGATION.

6. A list of FTSO signal providers as shown below to choose from.

7. Tap on the signal provider that you’d like to delegate to — say you pick us “KysenPool” and enter an amount. Delegating WSGB is done by percentage and will automatically update as your balance of WSGB changes.

8. Set the percentage as 100% to be delegated and click Continue.

9. Once you’ve continued from the amount screen, you’ll see a confirmation screen. Carefully review all details. If all details are correct click Confirm.

10. Back on the delegate screen you’ll now see your active delegations.

Congratulations! You’ve just delegated Wrapped SGB to a signal provider!
