TL;DR

The ssv.network is a decentralized DVT Network aiming to decentralize Ethereum validators, enhancing security and addressing centralization concerns.

Ethereum Proof-of-Stake, Staking, and Validators

Ethereum’s transition to Proof of Stake (PoS) involves validators performing network duties through staking, requiring complex setups. Validator keys’ management is crucial due to risks of penalties, hacking, and downtime, prompting the emergence of staking services.

Introducing SSV Network

The SSV protocol, now known as DVT (Distributed Validator Technology), enables distributed Ethereum validator operation, enhancing security, fault tolerance, and decentralization. It employs a unique approach, splitting and distributing validator private keys across nodes, ensuring no single node can control the validator.

Participants in ssv.network contribute 32 ETH to run validators, earning rewards for securing Ethereum. Stakers pay operators in SSV tokens and receive ETH rewards. Operators manage validators and charge fees. Liquidators maintain network solvency, receiving collateral for successful liquidations. A DAO oversees network governance and decisions.

SSV Token

SSV token provides enhanced security and reliability for ETH staking, requiring stakers to pay fees to operators and the DAO.

The SSV token serves as the payment layer for the network, enabling stakers to manage their costs and aligning the interests of participants. The protocol encourages transparency, cost optimization, and collateral maintenance.

SSV DAO

The SSV DAO promotes decentralized governance and ownership of ssv.network, allowing community members to propose, vote on initiatives, and govern the protocol using SSV Tokens.

Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are crucial for coordinating decentralized protocols like SSV, ensuring fair governance, network fees, and treasury decisions. DAO members define parameters, propose/vote on initiatives, and oversee operations. The foundation, dGC, Multi-Sig Committee, and Ambassadors play key roles in SSV’s ecosystem, including execution, governance, moderation, and marketing efforts.

DAO Proposal

The process for proposals, grants, and voting on the ssv.network involves community discussion, submission, voting using SSV tokens, and execution of passed votes through the Multi-Sig Committee.

Unlock the Power of Staking with Our Trusted Blockchain Infrastructure Services!

We aim to decentralize the Proof-of-Stake blockchain ecosystem. We’re highly familiar with the Tendermint-based blockchains such as Cosmos, Kava, Quicksilver; Ethereum and EVM-chains like Harmony; and substrate-based chains such as Cardano. Our global team is continuously improving our automations and constantly monitoring our operations to ensure high availability and resilience.

Our infrastructure is a hybrid of data centers bolstered with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and distributed globally at multiple Cloud providers. Our mission is to help provide a sound infrastructure, tooling and services, so that developers can build with confidence. We hope you like our contributions into the ecosystems that we support.
