What has the KysenPool team been doing in November 2019? It has been yet another packed month of activities. Our focus remains with helping to build an ecosystem around the network of blockchains that we support as they become ready.

The following are some of our developments around them.

Blockchain Networks

We expanded our Networks of blockchain families

Expanding Networks

  • Akash Network is the world’s first super cloud for serverless computing which connects through IBC to the Cosmos Hub to for Interoperability with other blockchains. We participated it’s Founding Member Challenge. All 3 Levels Completed!
  • We started running an XRP node — XRP is solving for cross-border payments with its low transactions fees, near instant verification, with a reliable network. We are excited to be a part of this ecosystem and will be doing research on the Interledger projects.
  • Cardano’s Shelley TestNet — we participated in the first Daedalus / Yoroi wallet snapshots and will be proceeding to register our nodes for the Incentivized TestNet and anticipate that there will be a really fast ramp up for the network to go live early next year.

Network Upgrade preparations

We are well aware of the upcoming upgrades to the following Tendermint-based PoS networks:

  • Cosmos we participate in the Cosmos governance actively. KysenPool voted YES to Cosmos Hub 3 Upgrade Proposal E, encouraged validators and delegators to vote, and published the Step-by-step Guide. We are excited and getting ready for Cosmos Hub 3 Upgrading on December 11 at block 2,902,000!
  • Terra — Terra MainNet will be upgrading to Columbus-3 via a hard fork by exporting Columbus-2 on December 13 at block 2,530,000. We are working on our oracle deployment on the Terra Soju TestNet, and will be ready soon!

Cosmos Outpost

User Interface (UI) rewritten

We have been completed the rewrite of the Cosmos Outpost frontend UI using ReactJS. This enables us to build faster and have the agility to expand into multiple Tendermint-based network chains, easily translate to multiple languages to support localization and many more. We also brushed up the look and feel to be component-based for social media integrations. Check out CosmosOutpost.io new features:

  • Ability to switch between different time periods
  • Time Interval choices to update Network Stats
  • Faster and smoother Validator Uptime view

We provide a Macro-economic Insights and Analytics platform with the latest trends within the network chain to help token holders make well-informed decisions. We encourage the community to come forth with suggestions to help you with your use case to improve the user experience. More features and Outposts coming soon!

New Twitter accounts

We migrated the Daily Cosmos Stats Update to a bot sending from NEW Twitter accounts @CosmosOutpost and translated to Chinese 中文 also at @CosmosOutpostCN.

Events and Engagements

San Francisco Blockchain Week

Half of our team showed up at the SFBW19 earlier this month. It was a really hectic week full of workshops, face-to-face meetups and conference sessions.

We had the pleasure to meet some of the awe inspiring contributors to the community such as folks, from core developers to investors to founders of exchanges. To name a few, we had the pleasure of meeting many folks from Cosmos and several validators, the team from Terra, the team from Harmony, core developers and product managers from Ripple. We also had the chance to meet founding members of Agoric, Akash Network, IRISNet, Meter, Perlin, and IoTex. There were chance encounters with members from the exchange community from Huobi Global, Singapore’s Biki Exchange and KuCoin, etc.

The workshops were highly interesting as well as we dabbled with Blockstack, reviewed Lightning network solutions and use of Rust. We also learned quite a bit from upcoming chains with deep dive discussions by talks from Meter, Perlin and Avalanche.

Media

For gaining deeper insight into the current state of the POS ecosystem, Bitcoin Market Journal engaged a discussion with three notable experts in the field, Lorien Gabel (Co-Founder at Figment Networks), Jack Chan (Co-Founder at Kysen Technologies), and Ken Trueba (COO at CypherCore). Thanks to Justin Caldwell for the great interview. Please refer to “Staking Roundtable: Experts Discuss the PoS Staking Market in 2019” for the experts’ views on the current and future state of proof-of-stake assets.

Decentralized Apps (DApps)

One last thing…

KysenPool is in the works to deploy our first De-Fi app is scheduled for a launch in December! We are fortunate to have partnered with a really strong network chain that will bring real-world use cases to the masses.
