Cardano

Atala PRISM

Atala Prism is a blockchain-based identity and credential management system developed by IOG (Input Output Global). It is designed to provide individuals and organizations with a secure and decentralized platform for managing digital identities and verifying credentials.

Atala Prism aims to address challenges associated with traditional identity management systems, such as data breaches, identity theft, and lack of interoperability between different identity providers. It leverages the blockchain technology to create a tamper-proof and transparent system where users have control over their own identity information.

Here has an article to discuss more on Atala PRISM on Decentralized Identity, and 🔜 Atala Prism V2 — is an enterprise-class, scalable solution adhering to the latest decentralized identity standards. This also includes the W3C DID spec for standardization and interoperability, DIDComm v2 — a chat for communication, and, coming soon AnonCreds, which ensure credentials’ increased privacy using selective disclosure and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP).

CIP-1694 — Age of Voltaire

CIP-1694 is a crucial step in Cardano’s journey into the Age of Voltaire. CIP-1694 marks the first iteration of Cardano’s on-chain governance. Given its importance, achieving broad consensus is vital as Cardano looks to the future. To make that happen, it’s equally important the community conducts its own governance discussions and events.

Join the conversation and contribute to Cardano’s on-chain governance — CIP-1694 Global Community Workshops.

Cosmos Hub

Neutron — The first consumer chain on Cosmos Hub

Interchain Security is the name for a family of protocols. The feature being discussed here is in this family and termed “Replicated Security”. In the past it has been referred to as Interchain Security (ICS) v1, but going forward we refer to it as “Replicated Security”.

Replicated Security will allow the Cosmos Hub to provide its strong security to other blockchains, which are called “consumer chains”. This means that consumer chains can benefit from the Cosmos Hub’s security without having to maintain their own validator sets.

In exchange for this service, consumer chains are expected to send a portion of their fees and inflation to the Cosmos Hub validators and delegators. These tokens will then be included as part of the Cosmos Hub’s staking rewards.

Neutron is the first Consumer Chain to leverage Cosmos Hub Replicated Security. Neutron is the most secure, permissionless CosmWasm smart contract platform that is optimized for DeFi.

In order to provide security for Neutron, the Cosmos Hub will receive:

  • 25% of transaction fees
  • 25% of MEV revenue
  • 7% of the NTRN supply as an initial drop
  • Help strengthen ATOM’s position as interchain’s reserve currency

For Neutron, it’s able to experience:

  • Instant access to the multi-billion dollar economic security of the Hub.
  • Instant user adoption by being connected with the biggest interchain community.

This is the beginning of a new ecosystem emerging within the interchain, called Atom Economic Zone. An ATOM-aligned ecosystem set to share value and grow the interchain economy.

Kava

Kava EVM Road Ahead

Kava EVM, also known as Kava’s Ethereum Virtual Machine, is a blockchain-based platform that allows developers to deploy and run decentralized applications (DApps) compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). It is a key component of the Kava blockchain ecosystem.

Kava is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that operates on its own blockchain, built on the Tendermint consensus algorithm. However, Kava EVM enables developers to leverage the existing Ethereum ecosystem and tooling to build and deploy DApps on the Kava blockchain.

The Kava EVM is celebrating its 1-year anniversary and has seen tremendous growth in adoption and usage since inception. Check out whats planned for the Kava EVM Road Ahead.

Kava 13 Mainnet Upgrade

Kava 13 upgrade will occur at block height 4,832,500 on May 17th, 2023, at approximately 15:00 UTC.

This upgrade includes updates to major dependencies and grants new powers for Kava DAO to manage community pool funds via the x/community module.

The release candidate & details for Kava 13 can be reviewed 👉 HERE.
