Over ten weeks ago we announced L2Pad’s migration to zkSync and now with a live and working testnet and an alpha mainnet in the deployment pipeline the L2Pad team is more excited than ever for our future holds.
Finding Our Footing
Marching into the second half of 2022 we’ve spent a significant amount of time behind the scenes working on our plans for zkSync, in that previous announcement we emphasized Zero Compromises and we meant it.
The Matter Labs team has been hard at work launching the testnet for zkSync back in February of this year and now we’re currently less than 100 days away from the live release of zkSync mainnet! The entire industry has been reacting with excitement as ZK-Rollups have become the talk of the town and all of us as a community get to be at the forefront of this groundbreaking endeavour.
We’ve witnessed significant improvements in the underlying zkSync architecture since the testnet deployment in February and now with the mainnet around the corner, the entire Ethereum community is excited about what the next era of Ethereum scaling and adoption is going to look like. The L2PAD team is excited to stand shoulder to shoulder with the phenomenal team over at Matter Labs but they aren’t the only ones who’ve dramatically evolved, so have we!
Winning As A Team
Our mindset and approach to L2PAD and how we can best serve the zkSync and wider Ethereum Layer 2 community hasn’t been static to say the least. We initially migrated to zkSync with the notion that we intended to serve the projects within the ecosystem as a launchpad, providing our services and expertise as protocol creators, developers and refiners but upon further reflection, we realize our true place; as an Innovation DAO. Further to the point we’re no longer L2Pad, we’ve become L2DAO to reflect our newfound focus!
The words Innovation and DAO mean a lot of things to a lot of different people but within the broader context of zkSync, we believe that our strengths mentioned above are best put to use in cultivating a community. L2DAO’s community will come from all projects built on zkSync and our focus will be on ensuring that the best and brightest are attracted to build on zkSync.
What this means for our community is that we’ll reach out to other DAOs and Guilds within the zkSync ecosystem, forging partnerships with the end result being one of the first-ever alliances of DeFi, Metaverse and other projects. L2DAO and our incubation team will be at the centre of it all and we’ll have formed a DAO of DAOs expressly designed to incubate and support brand new projects and builders in the zkSync ecosystem.
L2DAO is zkSync’s Innovation DAO and with our growing team of DAOs, Guilds, projects and other friends from around the zkSync ecosystem, we’ll be deploying the best projects for zkSync.
