Safu Ninja: Cheap & Effective Bitcoin Seed Storage

This article was very much inspired by the Metal Bitcoin Seed Storage Reviews by Jameson Lopp. In lieu of the brutal data leak from Ledger releasing user’s physical addresses, I thought it would be a good idea to alert you to a creative DIY option for storing your bitcoin private keys.

The Safu Ninja is a DIY recipe for building a stainless steel seed storage system. It’s really just a roll of fender washers with a bolt down the middle and you can get as creative as you want.

What you’ll need:

• 12x or 24x → 1/4″ x 1″ or M6 Stainless Steel Fender Washers
• M6 or 1/4″ hex Stainless Steel bolt 1–2 inch long
• M6 or 1/4″ Stainless Steel Acorn Cap Nut
• 36 Piece (Letter & Number) Metal Stamp Set
• Waterproof Stainless Steel Storage Container (optional)
