I began my photography class at LAB thinking that I knew way more about taking pictures than I actually did. It only took one time for me to see everybody else’s pictures to realize that I had a lot of room for improvement. I’ve learned a lot and have genuinely enjoyed my photography class. I’ve always been interested in photography and being at LAB has even prompted me to save up to buy a nice camera.

In the beginning I mostly just focused on caputuring nature because I wasn’t quite comfortable taking pictures of people yet.

Once I became more acquainted with the camera I was less afraid to take pictures of people and was able to capture some cool shots.

Colors and symmetry always catch my eye and I feel like I just have to take a picture. There is nothing more aesthetically pleasing than straight lines.

Atlanta has really nice architecture which I think is great because every city needs an identifiable skyline. Whenever I go to a new city the first thing that intrigues me is their buildings.

One of my favorite trips that we took has to be the airport. I think I’m one of few people that actually enjoys being in the airport for hours. The technology and innerworkings of an airpot always amazes me and there is just so much to learn.

Photography class is coming to an end but my interest is not. After my departure from LAB I will still continue to take pictures everywhere I go and I’ll always remember to capture the decisive moment.
