“I was dating this guy and we would spend all day text messaging each other. And he thought that he could tell that he liked me more because he actually spelt the word ‘YOU’ and I just put the letter ‘U’.” — Kelly Osbourne, Singer. Online dating is an increasingly popular way for individuals to meet. Starting a relationship through virtual means is a bit strange and is a bit ambiguous as Kelly Osborne humorously recounts. The internet is full of interesting information and being interested in the topic of online dating I compiled an infographic depicting some of the interesting statistics I was able to find.

The numbers do not lie, there are more people than many individuals would think who are using online dating with some surprising success. There are those skeptical to online dating but here are two different representations of online dating, “odd balls” are guaranteed but that happens in real life. Here are a few videos of a depiction of online dating through a skit and an EDM “nightmare date, glimpsing into the anonymity of online-dating and perils of modern-day courtship.” Enjoy.
