Everyone Asks Us What We Do

And it’s notoriously hard to put it simply because we do quite a lot. And everyone uses different language to describe what they need.

But try this:

It’s All About Generating Value For Our Clients

We are a Collective. We have 4 brands and we work hard to make a difference within each area.

We bring solutions and tools and techniques. But words like ‘product’, ‘solution’, ‘service’ and ‘tool’ are very interchangeable these days. One man’s solution is almost always another man’s tool.

Within each business we only care what ‘needs’ exist in the mind of our clients — what’s the real issue that needs fixing and then how best we can help to resolve it.

That’s the stuff that drives us — and our clients!

What Our Clients Need

In no particular order:

ONE — ‘Please Bring The Future Into My Business…’

WHAT WE DO — We understand the challenge. We help our clients upgrade their understanding of the world and how best to embrace the disruption all around them.

HOW DO WE DO THIS? — We identify and then curate the most relevant experiences or strategies through which innovations/ideas become tangible for them. We often translate this into physical experiences (events) designed to align with their business and the industry — as it will be in the future.

Specifically — We analyse the business itself, the trends and likely trajectory. We then bring in the new thinking in ways the business can understand. We do this in a number of ways — future thinking talks, future lab days, creating immersive workshops.

We do it by creating specific training events and experiences. Our focus is on tailoring the innovation (new/disruptive technologies, techniques and ideas) for the direct benefit of (and in line with) the strategies of the business.

TWO — ‘I Need To Bring Mission Critical Capability & Skill Into My Business …’

WHAT WE DO — We help our clients to gain access to the capabilities and skills they currently lack. When the client lacks the domain knowledge (or key resources) we leverage our extensive network on their behalf. In addition we help our clients gain vital knowledge of new technologies and techniques. These are the skills they will require to ensure success and gain competitive advantage.

HOW DO WE DO THIS — Through our analysis of the business we identify and then bring introduce the right people and technologies.

We have global access to the people and organisations that we trust. These are the resources we’ve defined as being at the leading edge of innovation, change and transformation.

THREE — ‘I Want To Transform My Media Function…’

WHAT WE DO — We help our clients to transform how they think about media*. The shared aim is to make it significantly more effective and efficient for them. Some of the largest costs in the modern/digital operation are the media and marketing costs. Many organisations are rethinking this entire process and bringing these capabilities in house.

* Media is one of the key functions but we apply our skills and expertise to many other top line functions in need of dramatic change.

HOW DO WE DO THIS — We help them in multiple ways as they move through this transformation —

1. Access to intelligence — on the ground experience and rigorous thinking in the financial models and contracts —

2. Integrated Media Planning and buying advice right across the Omnichannel —

3. Access to state of the art and leading edge creativity, technologies and technologists (throughout the ‘stack’ and along the ‘funnel’).

We understand what’s happening in the industry. We’ve learned this through decades of experience. We have deep experience — from traditional media (on a global scale) to digital/programmatic and beyond into the future of Ad/Media/Martech. We help to create the most relevant strategies possible.

We do this through rapid consulting, analysis and advisory work — this takes the shape of discovery/strategy planning and then on into delivery (where required) — It involves all core forms of media and execution —For Example: storytelling — social media — activation — data-strategies and real-time/dynamic asset optimisation (DCO)

FOUR — ‘I Must Educate & Inspire The Individuals & Teams In My Business…’

WHAT WE DO — We work with individuals and teams to help them gain the necessary confidence and appetite for change. We help leaders and leadership teams to think and work differently — because the world has changed dramatically.

HOW DO WE DO THIS — We do this through talks, creating Lab Days, developing workshops, ‘stop and think’ days — staging ‘inspire’ days, access to our online courses — and working to scale-up the results to change the capability of the whole enterprise.

FIVE — ‘I Want To Create & Manage An Innovation Space & Event…’

WHAT WE DO — We help our clients to design, curate, produce (and then run) large immersive experiences and events. We do this either for the event owner or for large corporate sponsors who wish to make a mark and inspire their audiences. We also help them install their own activations and experiences in their own locations.

HOW DO WE DO THIS — We analyse the requirement and needs of the business and in particular the audiences. We design and then work with our ‘lab’ partners to develop, build and run the spaces.

We work with the in-house facility managers to design plans that will work. At the same time adhere to the regulations and requirements of the premises. We then design and manage the installation, generate the audiences, manage their engagement, the awareness and the interest in attending. We then develop the result of their attendance and make sure the effect is sustained.

In Summary

How we do any of this is variable by client and unique to the ‘exam question’ (the real challenge) each time. That means each of the themes are likely to be expressed slightly differently by the client.

So, we use the above ‘solutions’ to explain the main planks of what we do. We continue to refine them as the world changes.
