Chicken stories part 3

Martha is an Andelucian, the kind that is mostly white with speckles of black on her back and wings. Her sister, Marilyn has slightly less black speckles and is a little smaller. Another way to tell them apart is from their behavior. Among the seven chicks that we brought home in May, Martha has always been the most developmentally advanced. Martha and Marilyn were almost identical yellow chicks when they were just a few days old. But we soon noticed that one of those blondies was always jumping out of the cardboard box that we kept them in. We had to cover the box with a sheet…
