ACT Games is a specialized game production company formed in May 2019 by talented developers from various existing game companies to enter the global game market based on famous overseas IPs.

- Bub’s Puzzle Blast — A puzzle game based on the popular Bubbles IP, a game we’ve all played at least once in our childhood, but with a whole new take on the action.
- Mogumogu Planet — An animal character puzzle and nurturing game set in a full 3d world.
- Zoids Wild Arena — Zoids is the Japanese equivalent of Gundam, with a 35-year history, massive global toy sales, and hundreds of full-length anime series. Zoids Wild Arena is an NFT-based card battle game that is being developed on a polygonal basis and is scheduled to open globally in Q3 2023.
Notably, Zoids Wild Arena is ACT Games’ first blockchain game, an NFT battle game that the company has been ambitiously preparing since before the P2E game boom. In October of last year, the company signed a business partnership with global cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com for its blockchain-based game business, and is now preparing for the second season of the Open Championship.
In this post, we’re going to tell you a little more about Zoids Wild Arena.
Zoids Wild Arena
Zoids are action toys first released in 1980 by the Japanese toy company Takaratomi.
Zoids Wild Arena, which is being developed by ACT Games, is a trading card game (TCG) based on the Zoids IP, which can be thought of as the same kind of game as Hearthstone and Gods Unchained.
You’ll need to strategically build a 30-card deck to battle your opponents and win, and the goal is to earn as many battle points as possible to get as high a ranking as possible, which is based on your win/loss record. The higher your ranking, the higher your ranking tier and the more rewards you earn.
Why TCG games?
As blockchain technology has begun to make its way into games, it has become very convenient to trade in-game assets. However, even with the introduction of blockchain technology, games still need to be gamer-friendly. TCG games are all about trading cards, and since the genre has been popular with gamers for decades — from Magic the Gathering to Hearthstone to Yu-Gi-Oh — we thought it was a great fit for a blockchain game.
Card NFTs
All cards in the Zoid Wild Arena are created as NFTs, and are divided into two main types: Zoid unit cards and tactical cards.
Unit Cards
Tactical Cards
Unit cards are used to directly attack your opponent’s units or opponents, while tactical cards allow you to deploy special skills to influence the battle.
Buying Card NFTs
Card NFTs used in the Zoid Wild Arena can be purchased in packs from the in-game store, or traded between users on the Marketplace.
Upgrading Card NFTs
Every NFT card has a grade. The number of stars at the top is the card’s grade, which is randomly assigned when you purchase a card pack.
All cards can be upgraded in rank, and you will need 3 cards with the same grade as the main card you want to upgrade.
ZWA Open Championship Season 2
Currently, Zoids Wild Arena is continuing its testing with a seasonal championship. The Season 1 Championship began in April and ended in early May, and now Season 2 will begin in July, after which players can continue to enjoy the Wild Arena without server shutdowns.
