You Need Only 5 shoes to Build a Minimal Wardrobe
If you are a minimalist and don’t want to jump on every single shoe trend, here are 5 timeless shoe styles for you to consider.
#1 Chelsea Boots
Back in Victorian ear, both men and women wore chelsea boots. It usually has an elastic side panel and a tab of fabric on the back so that you can easily pull them on. The best thing about chelsea boots is they go with anything throughout four seasons and can take you anywhere.
You can either match them with black leggings, leather pants or style them with denim, patterned skirt or anything…I use them in all occasions including rainy days.
Everlane chelsea boots are my favorite.
# 2 Slingback Pumps
Black low-heel working pump is one of the milestones that cements you as a grown-up. You can opt for kitten heels or even 4-inch pumps and pair them with a variety of bottoms from pencil pants to midi skirt.
However pumps always hurt the back of my ankle. I would prefer slingback with a strap at the back to hold it in place. Emma Watson is also a fan of slingback pumps.
The most famous one is Chanel’s block-heel two-tone slingback pump.
There are also different variations of slingback pumps.
Who says heels is the only way to be fabulous? Flats can take you closer to the ground and keep you stylish effortlessly. The survival rule for women is keeping a pair of flats on hand. It’s easy, walkable, and can rescue you from long walk or stiletto heels in parties. Flats with a sexy point is perfect for work if you are tired of heels.
I would prefer tan or nude leather flats because the color is closer to the skin and can elongate your leg in summer.
#4 Ankle Boots
The ultimate way to look taller in winter is pairing ankle boots with black leggings. Because your feet will look like a part of the legs. The skinny stiletto transforms a stocky boots into something more feminine.
Of course you can also pair it with other neutral colors like white and grey.
#5 Ankle Strap
Say hello to low heel ankle strap sandals! The single strap across the toes gives an elegance twist. It’s both dressy and comfortable. Like all the above types of shoes, the infinite variety in styling makes it a must-have in your wardrobe.
Stuart Weitzman is not only known for its over-the-knee boots, but also has a great collection of timeless ankle strap sandals.
Hopefully these 5 essentials can help you pull off any outfit. Happy shopping. Happy styling. See you next Saturday.
