The Queen

She chose it all
the path of difficulties, a dark wild forest
where she was in charge of her life
over a simple, comfortable house where she could be looked after,
like a fragile flower or a fire glass,
like an antique; a piece of decoration.

So the destiny was calling- her people needed a hero
she knew what she was signing up for…
so she chose it all
and prepared herself.
To struggle, to feel pain,
to fight, to find the right people standing behind her,
to make decisions, to find the right path,
to lead her followers, to inspire the others,
to be the toughest,
to walk upon the rough but to create simple,
to not tolerate the wrong, to not compromise the integrity,
to believe in what is left of humanity,
to hold on to the hope, to become the hope,
to face an inevitable evil standing tall and bright,
to be the strongest of all when it’s time to choose the right,
to have the hardest of shell around her heart
with the softest of a smile for everyone looking at her side.

No part of it was ever easy
tested in every other step
loss of loved ones
tired of war,
pain consumed her heart several times
but she drew strength from the earth itself
at times, she felt the power to create a whole new universe
and at times — empty, like an ocean
from which every last drop of water was vapourised
leaving a vast endless desert
but she had chosen it all.

Humanity comes in phases, the world manages itself in cycles
What goes, comes around.
What had happened, is left behind.
She broke herself while trying to fix the world
drowned herself to save air for the injured.
The hard way she learned -
when the world needs something it’s generous
once the need is met, it is mean.
Mankind pays the price
for every single sacrifice, it asks
she chose it all, and she gave it all,
bailed by her own people she bled green…
the world was not ready to be ruled by a queen.
