Navigating the midlife pivot
It doesn’t matter if you’re not where you wanted to be. You can take a stand and make a change at any age.

There’s no escaping that midlife crush. We all have that moment when we look around and ask ourselves, “What am I doing?” We have a sudden realization that time is not on our side, and that we’re simultaneously not getting everything that we want. That’s how we end up pivoting and changing directions — even when we’ve built something stable and valuable for ourselves. It’s never too late to get the life (and relationships) that you want. Feeling unfulfilled? Unsatisfied with where you’re at? Consider a midlife pivot to bring about the change you’re craving.
What the midlife pivot looks like.
A midlife pivot is exactly what it sounds like. It’s stopping dead in your midlife tracks to take a full inventory of your life. Realizing you’re not getting what you want, this pivot then pushes you to act. For some, this pivot is a literal change in career. For others, it’s new redefined relationships, reshaped values, or a total overhaul of their material lives. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all way to pivot. Maybe you need a little transformation at each level.
