Love is an exciting and fascinating thing, but it can also be gut-wrenching and heartbreaking too. Not all love lasts. Though we fall hard and fast for our partners, we can find ourselves falling out of love just as hard and just as fast. In those moments of shifting emotion, it’s crucial that we remain honest with both our partners and ourselves. In this way we can tap into our deeper understanding and compassion and find better ways to move toward our new futures.

Don’t run away from the feelings you know are changing. Accept what’s in your heart and identify your deeper needs. Through acceptance, we can find the confidence to move forward and communicate precisely what we’re feeling inside. Falling out of love is as natural as falling in love, but it’s far more uncomfortable. Deal with that discomfort the right way and confront the feelings you’ve been running from once and for all.
