New trading strategies implemented, rebuilt web-app, added Bitfinex support, and more.

It’s been a while since our last update, but we have good reasons for the radio silence. We’ve been plugging away shipping new features, and improving our trading strategies. So keep reading to see what’s new at Lake! Plus, we’ve bought on new hires!

New features
During the beta, we received tons of user feedback requesting the ability to fund portfolios with ETH, so we did one better — we now provide the ability to fund your account with any of the 9 tokens below!
Fund your investment with multiple tokens
Once you connect Lake Wealth to an exchange account, you can now invest with any of the following token balances, and we’ll actively manage them:
You no longer have to set a budget
We now manage 100% of token balances on your account
We’ve talked to a lot of users and have received a ton of feedback on this. The way we handle balances now will provide you with a better experience, as there will be no confusion between your Lake balance and your exchange balance. Additionally, to ensure seamless rebalancing and to help avoid balance conflicts, we’ll now manage the full balance of the exchange account you connect, for the tokens in the portfolio you’ve invested into.
*Important*
We strongly recommend that you don’t trade any of the assets we’re managing, otherwise it’ll interfere with our trading strategies and your portfolio’s performance.
Additional Deposits
This was definitely one of our most requested features, so we wanted to make it as seamless as possible. Now, when you deposit more of the listed tokens into your exchange account which we’re managing, we’ll automatically pick up on that and manage 100% of the balance for you as well!
Added Bitfinex support!
You can now connect your Bitfinex account to invest into Lake Wealth!
Migration for US clients
As Binance has terminated trading for US accounts, we recommend transferring your tokens to Bitfinex and connecting your API keys. We’ve created instructions on linking your Bitfinex account here.
Improvements to our Trading Strategies
Over the past few months, we’ve implemented a number of major improvements to our data pipeline, portfolio prediction process, and trade execution engine. These improvements include:
Hedging into Stable-coins
The most notable improvement to our strategy is the inclusion of a new risk assessment strategy that tracks several key risk indicators and moves your portfolio into and out of a stable-coin (specifically USDT) accordingly.
You might have already noticed that in the recent market drop in September, we kept your funds in USDT to help you preserve your portfolio’s value. This will become a more frequent process moving forward.
We pulled assets out of the market in late August, and kept funds in a stable coin for September. Your returns over the month was 0%, compared to Bitcoin’s returns of -14%.
Improvements to our trade execution
We also took this opportunity to build a better trade engine so that we can execute on decisions faster and more efficiently. We’re gearing up to enter the market again and this time plan to move in and out more frequently, depending on our predictions.
Design & Brand Refresh

New rebuilt web app
We’ve rebuilt our web-app from the ground up, and it’s now faster, more stable, with improved UX.
Significantly improved performance and responsiveness
You’ll notice that the app is a lot more performant, and loads much faster. It now weights in at only 400kb before 3rd party scripts, that’s 1/4th of the previous app size!
Now a Progressive Web App
Our app is now a PWA, meaning you can visit our app today and add it to your home screen and launch it like a native mobile app!

Rebalance history that’s easier to understand
We’ve gotten great feedback on a better way to show the difference between rebalances, and in our next update, we’ll be pushing out a change to the Rebalance History to better show the shift in asset weights and amounts between rebalances.
Faster loading of your portfolio
We’re currently working on improvements to our backend code to facilitate faster loading of your portfolio data.
