What led you into design?
A love of art paired with an unfortunate lack of art skills.
I was never good at drawing/painting so I found myself channelling my creativity digitally instead and was always overly excited to make PowerPoint presentations for my school projects. I started doing graphic design professionally in high school and went on to study design in university.
In uni, I was introduced to a way of designing that aims to fulfil needs and solve problems rather than just make pretty graphics or sell a product. Super excited to explore this side of design, I went on to realize my passion for understanding users and unpacking big problems (while still making use of my visual design experience/PowerPoint-making skills). After a Product Design internship turned year-long stint at a software development agency in my final year, I knew this was the area of design for me.
Then, shortly after graduating, I found myself on my way to Hong Kong and Lalamove π
