What led you to become a product manager?

After graduation, I worked with a partner to establish a recruitment platform where recruiters can offer rewards to attract referrals or talents. Our project was accepted by the Cyberport incubation program and thus I quit my job to devote my life to my startup. One year later, we closed our company and failed like 90% of startups.

This journey was stressful but rewarding, and I really enjoy building something, making an impact, and wearing different hats. My startup failed, but it opened the door to my career as a product manager.

1. Read emails and messages
2. Review my to-do list
3. Work, lunch, work
4. Prepare my to-do list for tomorrow

1. Successful products — where I learn why are they successful
2. Failed products — where I learn lessons from failures
3. The inconspicuous features/components people use every day — where I learn how the small negligible details can make great and long-lasting impacts
