The partnership unlocks the ability for Lamden’s technology to scale to tens of thousands of nodes, while giving Shardus a rich application development layer.

Lamden, a blockchain technology developer, has partnered with Shardus, an alternative blockchain solution. The two have analyzed their needs in the marketplace and determined that working together can achieve potentially better results than working alone. Lamden features a unique application development layer on their protocol, which is missing from Shardus. Conversely, Shardus has solved highly distributed peer-to-peer processing. While Lamden does feature decentralization, it has been pursuing efforts to scale more.

The two companies will form a working group that will attempt to merge the technologies together into a single blockchain that will feature scalability and functionality. This will allow users with computers as small as Raspberry Pis to participate in the network processing effort and publish applications to a global and publically run network.

Lamden’s goal is to empower individuals from around the world to create applications of value and make a living from their work. You can learn more at www.lamden.io.
