Men’s Soccer (3–12–1, 2–5): The Lancers have now lost three straight and squandered an opportunity at UNC Asheville Sunday to clinch a Big South Tournament spot in a 1–0 loss. Now Longwood must find a way to win in a virtual play-in game with Gardner-Webb before heading to Coastal Carolina, who has been nationally ranked most of the season. There is a good chance the Lancers play the Chanticleers twice in a row.

Last Week: L 3–2 vs Appalachian State, L 1–0 at UNC Asheville
This Week: 11/5 vs Gardner-Webb, 11/8 at #24 Coastal Carolina

Women’s Soccer (8–8–3, 3–5–2): A goal in the 90th minute by rival Liberty sealed Longwood’s fate this year as Longwood fell 1–0 and missed the Big South Tournament for the first time ever since joining the conference. Samantha Phillips was named First Team All-Big South and Amanda Spencer and Kelsey McDonald made the second team. Longwood only graduates five seniors this year from the squad.

Last Week: L 1–0 at Liberty

Field Hockey (6–12, 2–4): The season was virtually over after losing to Kent State last week but Longwood still dropped a 1–0 decision at Appalachian State to finish the season 0–10 on the road. Longwood will only graduate two seniors.

Last Week: L 1–0 at App State
