Lancers offer pair of JUCO players

Longwood has been busy on the junior college recruiting trail this week in offering Miles Gibson and Destin Barnes.

Barnes is a 6'7 forward who averaged 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists at Florida Southwestern State College this past season. Prior to moving to the junior college ranks, the Illinois native played 10 games his freshman year at Boston University. Longwood will have to fight Radford and Winthrop for Barnes’ services, along with Jacksonville.

Miles Gibson is a 6'6 win who played this past year at Northwest Tech in Kansas. He averaged 19.2 points and 8.1 rebounds during his sophomore campaign. Gibson is original from Richmond where he played for Millwood.

If either player commits to Longwood they’ll join a recruiting class that features Heru Bligen, Nate Lliteras, Leslie Nkereuwem, Devante Carter, and Bennett Mohn.
