Longwood fans in the DC and Baltimore area can add another opportunity to see their Lancers close to home this season, as Longwood has added Morgan State to the 2019–20 slate. The Lancers will travel to the Bears on December 7 and will receive a payback game in Farmville during the 2020–21 season.

The game will be the first matchup against the Baltimore based school since Longwood lost in Baltimore 76–51 in December of 2007. In February of 2007, Longwood beat the Bears 75–73 in Farmville. While it was a great game on the court, the affair became famous for off-the-court reasons.

Unfortunately, Lancer fans won’t see a return of former fan favorite Todd Bozeman, as former Maryland assistant Kevin Broadus has now taken over the program at Morgan State. Last year the Bears went 13–19 and 7–9 in the MEAC. The game will also serve as a rivalry of sorts for Aldrich after his tenure at UMBC.

Morgan State joins a confirmed road slate that includes matchups at George Mason, George Washington, Northern Illinois, and Delaware State.
