Men’s Soccer (3–10–1, 2–4): The Lancers dropped two games on the pitch this week a 1–0 loss to rival Liberty and a non-conference match up at Lipscomb. Longwood will host Appalachian State this week before finishing up conference play. Eight teams make the Big South Tournament and the Lancers currently stand 7th. The good news is that Longwood’s next two conference games come against UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb, two teams that have combined for a 0–9–3 record in the Big South right now.

Last Week: L 1–0 vs Liberty, L 3–1 at Lipscomb
This Week: 10/29 vs Appalachian state, 11/2 at UNC Asheville

Women’s Soccer (8–7–3, 3–4–2): With a split this past week against Campbell and UNC Asheville, it’s going to a hold your breath kind of week for Todd Dyer’s squad. One Big South game reminds for every team and Longwood currently stands 7th at 3–4–2 with Winthrop and UNCA hot on their heels at 3–5–1. While Longwood has the upper hand in terms of positioning on the table Winthrop will play a winless Presbyterian team on Tuesday and UNCA will play 4–3–2 Gardner-Webb. Meanwhile, Longwood will have to play at Liberty who is currently alone in first in the Big South with a 7–1–1 mark. Get ready to watch some scoreboards on Tuesday… O yea, there is a good chance that Longwood might turnaround and play at Liberty again on Friday.

Last Week: L 1–0 at Campbell, W 3–0 vs UNCA
This Week: 10/28 at Liberty, 10/31 1st Rd Big South Tournament

Field Hockey (6–11, 2–4): Longwood dropped a 1–0 decision at Kent State this weekend which erased any hope of the squad getting a top four spot to get into the MAC Tournament. The Lancers are 0–9 on the road this year and will have one last chance to change that against Appalachian State this week.

Last Week: L 1–0 at Kent State
This Week: 10/31 at Appalachian State
