Longwood whiffed this week nominating TT Carey for Big South Player of the Week over Lucas Woodhouse. Nothing against Carey and his 37 points at Charleston Southern, but the Lancers would have been 0–2 without Lucas Woodhouse last week. Not to mention it’s time to start touting a player that Jayson Gee has labeled the “face of the program” and currently is second in the country in assists, trailing only Long Island’s Jason Brickman.

Woodhouse finished last week 40 points, 14 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and the game-winning three pointer against rival Liberty. He would have been a strong candidate to take the Big South honor that went to High Point’s John Brown after he posted 54 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 blocks in a 1–1 week for the Panthers.

At least someone picked up on Woodhouse’s achievements as he was named the Big South Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
