Lucas Woodhouse is heading home to Long Island where he’ll spend his final two years of eligibility with the Stony Brook Seawolves. Woodhouse was on pace to become the most decorated point guard in Longwood history but bailed on the Lancers after spending most of the year looking to take his game elsewhere.
Woodhouse will have to sit a year per NCAA transfer rules, unless he can get a waiver. Stony Brook has won over 20 games over the past three seasons but the Seawolves have fallen in the America East Tournament every year and are still looking for their first NCAA Tournament birth ever.
Woodhouse will be eligible in time to play with a slew of talented sophomores for the Seawolves including leading scorer Jameel Warney. Stony Brook is just about 30 minutes from where Woodhouse went to high school, Harborfields.
