Land of Conquest is a brand new blockchain game🎮 (Also known as “crypto game”) called MMOSLG in the theme of apocalyptic wasteland.
The Story Behind Land of Conquest
Land of Conquest was created through the merging of 2 worlds: The gaming world and the crypto world. Amore, the leader🧔 of the gaming team started to learn about GameFi in 2018, and led his team, a group with more than 10 years game development experience, to explore the possibilities for the future of games in the blockchain industry. Meanwhile, Ray Lee🙋♂️, another core member of the LOC team, was also paying attention to the development of GameFi. Both of them knew that there is a need for better-quality blockchain games with better gaming ecosystems. After their discussion, they decided to make an SLG blockchain game🤝, which is Land of Conquest.
In SLG games, players need to enable their strategic thinking, planning skills, communication ability, collaboration, group decision-making and negotiating skills to survive and thrive in the gaming world. It is often seen that players need to communicate with each other🎎, make collaboration and even group decisions. Strong interactivity among players makes the players bond with the game.Therefore, when multiple in-game assets from an SLG game are put on-chain, players will immediately have the sense of ownership in the game. As players get more familiar with the crypto game, they can explore the gameplay more and find more fun in it.
Various Game Assets in Land of Conquest
In LOC, the game designers initially planned Land NFT, heroes NFT, and MECH NFT. However, there are more possible game assets, and they could be put on-chain🔗 in the future.
Starting with Land NFT, Land can constantly produce resources in the game. Players need to build up their basement on a Land. Some improvements like construction, development, training, and resource production can be done on the land. Just like in real life, the better developed your land is, the more value it has, which will translate into more resources (including tokens and NFTs) which can be produced.
Hero NFTs reflect the value of gamers such as their gaming skills, time invested, strategic skills, etc. Other limited resources or equipment can also be developed into different NFTs in the future such as the MECH NFT.
The Better Gameplay Experience in LOC
There are multiple scenes that can happen in LOC. In the game, gamers could take up a few different roles.
✅ Gamers who buy Land NFT can be seen as investors of the game. Land NFT players can recruit other gamers and work with them to develop the land, while enjoy the harvest.
✅ Starting from free-to-play, gamers who don’t have any NFTs can “farm” in the game, gather resources via completing PVE combats, and sell resources to other gamers.
✅ Gamers who buy Hero NFT survive and thrive by winning exciting PVP combats. Hero NFT players can also win tokens and NFTs from successful attacks and defense.
In general, we believe that blockchain SLG games such as Land of Conquest are one-step closer to the “metaverse” concept. Gamers can chat and interact with each other while playing the game, so they are more inclined to explore in the Land of Conquest.
Ecosystem of Land of Conquest
When it comes to tokens used in this crypto game, there are 2 tokens, namely SLG and XTAL.
SLG is the governance token issued only 1 billion and deflationary overall. It can be obtained by both palying the game (we call it “in-game”) and buying it through exchange (we canll it “on-chain”).
XTAL, the satellite token, can be obtained through in-game play. It is planned to go on-chain in the future.
There is one more in-game currency called LOC Gold. Any gamer can buy LOC Gold directly by topping up their game account. It keeps the traditional entrance for gamers who have never experienced blockchain games. However, LOC Gold can be obtained in-game & on-chain. We are looking forward to seeing any possible chemistry when traditional gamers meet Land of Conquest.
