We’re been hearing for the last few years that the future of gaming is Web3, but to date Playstation & XBox still hold the trophies, but it could be changing with the release of Gunzilla Games Off the Grid.

🎅 Set to be released by end of year, Off the Grid will be the first Web3 game that is built on Avalanche’s subnet, while also being released on the XBOX, PS5 and PC.

✅ It will be free to play & offer all players the chance to earn items through gameplay or buying items from other players in the marketplace.

Gunzilla wants to ensure that gamers are not being forced to pay to play, or collect NFTs. This take shows that they are sensitive to the gaming communities concerns, and will allow Web3 gaming to grow organically, by appealing to both traditional gamers and Web3 enthusiasts.

“As a free-to-play game, we aim to compete with market leaders such as Fortnite, PUBG, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Apex Legends, but with an additional component that gives players greater transparency, security, and ownership over their in-game assets.” — Vlad Korolev, co-founder of Gunzilla

➡ CoD has 8 hours of narrative campaign play — Off the Grid over 60 hours & it’s written by Alter Carbon’s author Richard K Morgan. 😲

As one of the first studios to take advantage of Ava Labs Blizzard Fund & Multiverse Incentive Fund, it will not be the last. Avalanche’s initial investments looks like it will payoff with a killshot to dethrone the reigning champs.

✍ Check out the gameplay below & let us know your thoughts. With the release on traditional gaming platforms, is this the game changer in the making?
