ASLC announces election schedule, filing deadlines

The ASLC has announced its schedule for student government elections, which will be held Nov. 24 and 25 in the Student Center — Quad, according to Ongelique Pyles, elections committee chairperson.
Students who wish to run for ASLC offices can pick up applications starting Wednesday, Sept. 9, on the third floor of the Student Center. The deadline for filing to run for office is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. The official announcement of candidates and propositions will be made on Oct. 14.
Mandatory meetings for candidates will be held Oct. 21 and 22, with locations to be announced. Candidates will have four weeks to campaign, Oct. 23 through Nov. 20. Election results will be announced Nov. 3 and then certified Dec. 7, according to Pyles.
