Language Learning Blog

This is the unofficial, community-run blog for Language Learning Stack Exchange. Wait, what is Language Learning Stack Exchange? It’s currently a beta site under its parent site, Stack Exchange, and is “for students, teachers, polyglots, and anyone interested in the techniques of second-language acquisition”. Yes, that was quoted from the site description.

What will be part of the blog? The list will expand over the years (hopefully) but for now, the blog will have posts about:

1. Comparisons of popular software devoted to language acquisition
2. Featured Post of the Week (A post from Language Learning, not the blog)
3. What the site is about
4. Sources and articles related to language learning
5. Interviews with users and admins/site moderators
6. Language of the Week

What content do we have? Look in the list above!

What rules and ethics are set here? Simply be nice. That means no insulting other users for their beliefs and who they are, respecting everyone and the admins and users who run this site, and other policies mentioned in Stack Exchange’s Be Nice policy, which perfectly explains online etiquette practically anywhere.

Be nice to others!

Got a problem or have an idea for a blog post here? Leave a comment below or if you get enough rep on Language Learning Stack Exchange, leave a message in the blog’s chat room on the main site. Want to know more on Language Learning Stack Exchange, including rules, the reputation system, and more? Visit the Language Learning Meta, the Help Center, and the Tour for more information.

This is a blog so enjoy yourself! Don’t stress out, that’s the staff’s job!

I hope that you will enjoy this blog and Language Learning Stack Exchange just as much as I do (or even more)!
