Spanish is a Sign to Better Predict My Future

The tide is receding, do you see the next waves coming?

Have you ever baffled yourself with the sheer inability to predict your own future?

Have you ever ended up in such an unexpected outcome, despite all the obvious signs in hindsight?

I sometimes wonder if a language like Georgian will become my most important language. After all, Georgia gives one year tourist visas to Americans, no questions asked.

If you can’t figure out how to get sustainable online income and build community connections in one year, you were never meant to live abroad in the first place.

And Tbilisi is one of the greatest hidden gems.

Mexico’s 6 month visa is pretty generous too, though by the 3rd month of living there in 2021, my “immigrate or not immigrate” anxiety was going through the roof.

I first felt wind that Spanish might come into my life again last winter when my ski resort employer hired Peruvian seasonal workers.

Having been learning Russian since 2017 and Finnish since 2021, I was not open to a language learning pivot at the time.

After all, your sense of self-worth comes from the endeavors you complete.
