There’s no denying that it’s been a while… But I’ve decided to come back. Once upon a time, writing on Medium gave me routine and a sense of achievement and my stories and poems are still being read so I thought: why not? I have plenty to share.

Meanwhile, I’ve been developing my podcast for learners of the Polish language who love books, movies, and good stories so if you happen to be learning Polish, check it out! Although my own language learning went slightly off the rails once pandemic restrictions were completely removed and life went to the so-called “normal” (although it begs the question of how “normal” it has become…), I stuck primarily with Italian and Czech on the side and a year-long episode of re-learning basic Russian.

I’m itching to get back to serial language learning though and I have some serious plans for 2025 but that’s a topic for another post. At the moment, I’m studying for a postgraduate diploma in teaching Polish as a foreign language at the University of Silesia in Poland so that takes up a lot of my “language brain”.

So what can you expect here? Definitely, some teaching and podcasting musings, learning resources that I’ve found helpful, updates on my foreign language successes (or a lack of them) and tips on handy tools for language-adjacent solopreneurs and podcasters (while on a hiatus from Medium, I discovered some epic tools I can’t imagine getting by without and I’d love to share them with y’all.)

A presto!
