In Jan 2020, we’ve established a product development policy that all team members must follow.
- Always Discuss the implementation plan with the team — The task must be planned before the start
- Code review is not optional
- Before starting check if something similar was implemented before and if any code and UI/UX components can be leveraged
- Demo it before the push to QA
- Follow Kanban Flow and Principles
- Make sure vertical slices are always testable
- Collaborate with BA/QA/PO extensively to ensure that business and quality context is well understood
- Make sure that the progress is visible via the JIRA board and timekeeper (keep these updated!!) especially before standup
- Quality is the responsibility of the whole team — Aim is to Reduce Loop-backs
- Carefully plan release to prod — Have a plan documented even it is a small release
- Time-box Meetings
- If stuck for more than 2 hours — ask for help
