Self-Awareness Should Be Taught At School

Most people grow up not knowing who they are.

We usually grow up to become what people want us to become.

What society wants us to become.

But we never truly grow up to become who we already are.

Who are we truly?

We are beings full of potentials.

We are beings full of love.

We are beings full of talents.

We are beings full of greatness.

But are we aware of that?

No.

Because we never truly grow up aware of our greatness.

We spend so much time letting ourselves be moulded, shaped and built into a perfect little member of society that we lose our own truth.

That is why most people don’t know who they are.

That is why most people don’t know what they like or dislike.

That is why most people don’t know what they can do or cannot do.

We’ve been so used to being told about everything that we should be that we spend all of our time trying to be who we “should be” rather than being who we already are.

That is why, we, at L’ARTISTE Mag, believe that self-awareness should be taught at school or even at birth.

We need to teach people about being aware of who they truly are.

Because everybody is already a somebody.

Nobody was born to be a nobody.

We were all created for greatness.

But for this greatness to be of great use, we need to be aware of it first.

And in order to be aware of who you are, you have to stop asking other people to show you who you are.

Nobody can possibly know who you truly are let alone show you.

You are the one spending every hours of every day with yourself, you should be the one who knows you better than anybody else.

Unfortunately, that is not the case for everyone.

Hence why you would hear people say “she knows me better than I know myself”.

This sentence is a good reflection of how our society works.

We allow people to tell us who we are before we can even tell them who we are.

We’re used to society telling us who to be, what to do and how to look, that we eventually believe that society knows us better than we know ourselves.

But that is not true and also, highly impossible.

Society cannot possibly know who we are, as we haven’t even shown it who we are yet.

Awareness And Self-Expression

Be aware of everything that you are and show your true self.

You do not need people to tell you who you are or how to dress or what job represents you, all you need to do is simply be.

Be the being that you were created to be and let your greatness shine through.
