What would you do indeed?
Chances are, you would do anything that your heart desires.
You would go after your dreams.
You would apply for that job.
You would try this thing that you’ve always wanted to try.
You would go talk to that person that you’ve always wanted to talk to.
You would do anything and everything.
Most importantly, you would LIVE.
Unfortunately though, we are all scared of failure.
We all have that feeling that somehow, things won’t work out.
Maybe it’s because once upon a time, we believed that something would go right but it went horribly wrong.
So now, we cannot help but to believe that everything that we even think about doing, will fail.
But what if failures were exactly what needed to happen for you to be your authentic self?
What if these things needed to happen in order to push you more towards the path that was created just for you?
If you don’t do things, surely you won’t fail.
And surely, you won’t get hurt.
But what if you needed all of that in order to be your true self?
Is “not failing” more important to you than being your true authentic self?
We need to realize that we cannot live a life with no failures.
We cannot live a life with no hurt.
We cannot live a life without all of those things.
Because, guess what?
All of this, — the failures, the hurt, the pain, the struggle along with joy, peace, happiness, love — they are all part of life.
A life without all of these elements is not really a life.
You cannot choose to live a life with no pain.
So instead of trying to avoid it, we need to realize that it is there and we need to learn to embrace it as part of our life.
We need to embrace it as part of what will push us more towards our true authentic self.
Instead of letting it destroy us or scare us.
“Failing is another steppingstone to greatness.” — Oprah Winfrey
If we let the fear of failure stop us from doing things, we essentially let it stop us from living.
And we were not given a life so that we could be scared of actually living it.
“You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream become impossible: the fear of failure.” — Paulo Coelho
