Thanks to all the wonderful comments that we’ve been getting here on Medium, we know that Laser’s followers are definitely learning a lot from our blog. We think we’re doing a pretty good job at this too, if we do say so ourselves!

But reading the blog is only getting a small piece of the action. As much as we do our best to keep our readers in the loop, you’re not going to become familiar with the inside scoop — discussion from the community. Questions, concerns, hypotheticals, you name it. It’s just like reading a news story on Facebook. The exciting stuff isn’t always in the post… it’s in what the community is saying!

Using Chat Platforms to get the Inside Scoop About Crypto

You may have noticed that on webpages and promotions for cryptocurrencies, they’ll refer you to their chat platforms such as Slack, Discord, and Telegram. These are kind of like chat rooms from back in the early days of the internet.

Channels on each of these platforms exist for all kinds of topics. Sports, travel, tech, video games… pretty much any topic that people would want to talk about. The idea is that you can join “channels” that bring you together with like-minded people and have a spirited discussion with them. You can really learn a lot.

Since most cryptocurrencies will have a lot of questions brought up in their early stages (e.g. “When is your ICO?”, “What makes your coin different?”), channels like these are a great method for people to pose questions, and for them to be answered for everybody to see. Kind of like a live-action FAQ page.

Join Laser’s Telegram Channel to see What’s Going on

For Laser, we chose to use Telegram because it manages group discussions much better (keeping spammers out), and because it requires phone number verification (deterring malicious users). It’s also free to use — so it will take no more than an app download and an account setup for you to get in the loop about Laser on Telegram.

Currently, Laser’s channel on Telegram has 569 members.

Here are some questions that we’ve fielded since we’ve launched the Telegram channel…

- What is the ROI for a servicenode?

- How do I run a servicenode?

- When will the hard fork take place?

- What exchanges will Laser Photons be listed on?

To serve you better, we can take questions from you about Laser in any way you like. You can comment here on Medium (we actually do read all the comments), use the contact form on our website, or you can ask your question on Telegram. The advantage when you use Telegram is that you’ll get answers and comments from existing users and investors in the community. Plus, the Laser team is often in the channel too. Come join us!

We’ve got lots of cool stuff in the works — between our airdrop, crowdsale announcement, and some exciting use cases for Laser. Between what we post here, what you read in the news, and what you’ll see on our Telegram channel, staying tuned is staying in the know about blockchain without borders.

See you on Telegram!
