Coming Soon: Send Any Cryptocurrency Anonymously Using the Laser Wallet

Behind the scenes, the Laser team has been working around the clock on our first wallet release. We’re excited to show it to you soon.

Until then, here is a sneak peek at what’s in store…

First, the Laser wallet initial release will support sending and receiving Laser’s Photon tokens, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Plus, it will support Photon smart contracts.

Here’s where it gets exciting, though. Later this year, the Laser network and the Laser wallet will be upgraded to support anonymous transactions.

How will this work?

If both you and the receiver have a cryptocurrency in a Laser wallet for which you have the private key, Laser can make any transaction between them anonymous.

So, for example, you could send Bitcoin to a Bitcoin address or even Bitcoin to an Ethereum address — all anonymously.

And we have even bigger plans for the future.

After the infrastructure is in place, we plan to roll out support of EOS, Neo and Ripple in the Laser wallet.

Plus, we also have plans to support the top market-cap coins and tokens, including high-profile projects like Salt, Tron, VeChain, OmiseGO, Icon, Binance, Zillqa, 0x, Golem, Augur, Kyber Network and several others.

So, how exactly can Laser make these transactions anonymous?

Our Join feature runs on every Laser network servicenode, which allows you to send any supported cryptocurrency anonymously.

Looking at the graphic below, you’ll see a sample cryptocurrency transaction. You can see that the movement of these coins will be very easy to trace, which is why the transaction shown is not anonymous.

Comparatively, looking at the second graphic, you will see that the similar transaction passes its coins through ‘X’, a multi-signature wallet. This scrambles the coins after they get sent so that once they arrive at their destination, their motions cannot be traced back to their sender.

Want to send Ethereum to a Salt address anonymously? Want to send Neo anonymously to a Bitcoin address? Want to send Zillqa anonymously to a Tron address?

Our roadmap is set so that you will be able to do it in the Laser Wallet.

With over 1,500 cryptocurrencies and counting, the use cases for this are nearly infinite.
