Do you know the titles of the social games that have been popular in Japan recently? Titles like Fate/Grand Order, Heaven’s Burn Red, Blue Archive, Honkai Star Rail, and Arknights… These games all feature splendid worldviews and captivating stories. When you see the key visuals of each game, you can tell which game it is even without any characters because the worldviews are so well-developed.

Moreover, these works often engage in media-mix. Many of them expand from social games that are written in text to anime adaptations.

The origin of such content lies in “reading content” such as light novels and visual novel games. The boom 20 years ago with “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” began with light novels, from which media mixes like anime and games spread. Even the famous commercial work of TYPE-MOON, Fate/Grand Order, which is now well-known, started with the R-18 visual novel game “Tsukihime.” Even within such works, there has always been splendid world-building and storytelling.

Our work, “De:Lithe Last Memories,” is produced in the context of such recent social games.

Synopsis of Last Memories:

In the year 20XX, without warning, a widespread explosion disaster of unknown cause, “The Great Collapse,” suddenly devastated central Tokyo.

The disaster claimed more than one million victims. Furthermore, “gates,” or holes leading to unknown other worlds, appeared here and there in the disaster area. A large survey team was organized to investigate the other world, but they were almost completely destroyed. Furthermore, Tokyo was covered by an unknown substance called “aether” that overflowed from the holes all over the city, making it uninhabitable.

The Gates remained, and Tokyo is still enveloped in Aether. The cause of the “Great Collapse” remains unknown.

With the anxiety of not knowing when a similar tragedy might occur again, the government attempted to investigate the Gates multiple times, but all attempts ended in failure.

Not only was the massive obstacle known as the “Unknown” a challenge, but the other world beyond the Gates, the “Elysian Plains,” was filled with Aether, causing humans to lose consciousness immediately upon entry.

Eventually, the government gave up on investigating the Gates and decided to focus on reconstruction.

The situation changed around ten years after the “Great Collapse.” A joint venture called “Logios,” commissioned by the government to investigate the Gates, successfully conducted research and exploration of the Elysian Plains and managed to eliminate the Gates.

Moreover, what’s remarkable is that this was achieved by a group of teenage girls known as the investigative team, suddenly thrust into the spotlight. They are known as the Special Investigation Team for Type 1 Isolation Areas, also known as the DOLL Unit.

Characters of Last Memories:

The story of Last Memories revolves around the player, who becomes the chief of “Logios,” and the main focus is on the interactions with the girls from the “DOLL Unit” mentioned above. There are a total of 36 characters, each with complex backgrounds, and as the game progresses, players can learn about their pasts.

Logios has futuristic facilities like the ones in the image above, where players can freely move the characters around. Exciting, isn’t it?

Additionally, each character has their own dedicated music, which will be released gradually. Please imagine and empathize with their lives through the music and story, and be sure to find your favorite character!
