Control access to content or share seamlessly across networks

At latakoo, we know big news events create the need to move content quickly and easily among large groups of users. That’s why our flexible system allows you to customize workflows for your needs.

Jacksonville flooding after Hurricane Irma.

latakoo allows large groups of users to share content across our platform, regardless of their location. This is done while maintaining secure control over that video content. No one sees or downloads it without express permission. Along with latakoo’s automated download server, called HUB, workflows become intuitive and efficient for every user.

Sharing across Owned Networks

For example, latakoo recently set up content sharing workflows for a station group of about a dozen stations and their television network. Each station had the ability to view another’s station’s content, as well as the content from the television network.

However, users did not have the ability to download or use the video without requesting it. Those requests could be approved or refused by the network administrators. This is called a copy/request workflow.

Stations can share content with a copy/request workflow.

latakoo makes the copy/request workflow very simple to use.

In our example, a user requests Station A’s video. The user selects which network they want to move the content into, (this is usually their home network, Station C in this case) and that request is sent to the admin for Station A. If the request is approved, the content is moved into Station C’s network, allowing the user to download it and incorporate it into their broadcast.

Within latakoo users can request access to content.

With the copy/request workflow, administrators maintain control over the content within their network, deciding who can access video content within their network.

Shared Networks

In other cases, latakoo sets up sharing networks to allow stations or groups of users to share content across all groups. All stations can upload and download within the shared network.

Stations can contribute content to a shared network that all stations can access.

For Hurricane Irma, latakoo set up sharing networks among stations to easily obtain content uploaded into that network. Because all stations were included in the network, copy/requests were not required.

In this scenario, Station A contributes content into a shared network and can download any content from the network without requesting it. Station B may not contribute content, but downloads stories they want to broadcast. The content moves freely, but only within those users granted access to the shared network.

Whatever your workflow needs, latakoo is a flexible solution that allows you to share and control content from anywhere, regardless of internet connection or file size.
