Automate your uploads with a watch folder

If you export files from an edit program regularly to upload to latakoo, implementing a watch folder workflow could automate the steps getting those files to the latakoo cloud.

The latakoo Flight application has settings to automatically transfer files from a watch folder to latakoo Pilot, using your default app settings.

Locate the Options tab on the Flight app and select it to reveal the Options tabs.

General Tab

Here you’ll find the settings for the default uploads. These settings will be used to send any file that you place in the app, including the watch folder. Make sure you review the default bitrate settings, the default network, the default uploading type and the default metadata form. Anything selected here will be used when sending with the watch folder.

Advanced Tab

Here’s where you indicate which folder you want to use as your watch folder. You can see that I have set a folder on my desktop as a watch folder, but you could set any folder as a watch folder. Just click Browse to locate the folder and OK to lock in the settings.

Warning about Watch Folders

Any files placed in a watch folder and uploaded by the latakoo app will disappear after the upload has taken place. If you are exporting directly from a edit system into a watch folder, know that the original file could be lost.
