Panama’s Blockchain Summit Latam will focus on logistics and supply chains

Also, the leader of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution of Colombia, and co-director of InTIColombia and ViveLab Bogotá, Mauricio Tovar, among others.
Blockchain Summit Latam has been organized by LatamTech, main organizator of the event, and the cryptocurrencies payment processor company, Cryptobuyer. In addition, it has the collaboration of several projects and institutions of the region such as Blockchain Panama, Blockchain Colombia, and the Latin American Blockchain Alliance, Finnovista, Talent-Land, Capatec, among others.
This event will be held at the W Panama Hotel, one of the main hotels in Central America, located in the financial center of Ciudad de Panama.
This fourth edition of Blockchain Summit Latam will focus on applications for foreign trades, maritime transport and logistics in general. Since Panama is a strategic point for trade in the region, the possibilities of implementing the blockchain in these areas will be an important point of focus.
Logistics in the field of foreign trade, shipping, container management and controls; the idea is to focus on the main strengths of panamanian itsmo to provide differential value in these areas.
The possibility of implementing this technology on financial services will also be discussed. Thus, the management of investment funds; investment in the stock market; stock exchanges, banking interconnection and its improvement will be topics discussed and addressed from blockchain technology and smart contracts.
In Panama, blockchain technology has already had some use cases. In this case, not only have there been business initiatives, but even the panamanian government itself has welcomed the possibility of implementing a blockchain to solve some problems associated with the bidding processes and public offers.
The national government of Panama is looking to add transparency and efficiency to these processes that, normally are a good niche for corruption to emerge. Thus, technological implementation could shove this scourge to the national treasure.
In fact, events focused on this technology have already taken place in the country, although it is the first time that the Blockchain Summit Latam has been held in the same country.
Tickets can be purchased directly on the event website www.blockchainsummit.la, through credit cards and cryptocurrencies.
